Announcing – Our new Library Program – Read Tac Toe!
This program is designed to encourage students to read a wide variety of books, inside and outside of the Accelerated Program. It focuses on the genre of book: folk tales, biography, poetry, mystery, historical fiction, etc. While participation is voluntary, each student has an opportunity to earn bookmarks, a certificate, and attend a library party at the end of the year.
Each student will have a Bingo type page with squares depicting the various types of books. When they read a book matching one of those types, they can write down the title on their log and the librarian will initial the appropriate square. When they have completed a straight line, they will earn a bookmark. When their card is filled, they will be a party participant! Bingo cards will increase in number of books required by grade level.
